How to apply for the Visiting Exchange/Study Abroad Programmes
(EU students)

Before you apply

If you want to study at our University as a Visiting Exchange student then you should contact the International Office at your Home Institution as they are responsible for managing the selection process. Please note that the number of places for exchange students per institution is limited.

If you have already been selected by your Home Institution to participate in the ERASMUS Exchange programme, or if you are applying to study under the ECTS Student Mobility Programme, then please read the following notes carefully. You can also download the Explanatory notes below.

Application form

The deadline for applications for Semester 1 (September - January) is 28 May 2012 and for Semester 2 (January - June) is 26 October 2012.

The application form must be completed fully in black ink and block capitals and must be countersigned by the tutor responsible for approving the link with our University. Students must also include the following documents with their application:
  • Transcript of results from Home Institution
  • Evaluation of English Language assessment
  • Completed Learning agreement
  • Copy of passport

Learning Agreement and Module Choice

You must submit a completed Learning Agreement with your application. Please refer to the Guidance notes included on the Learning Agreement to help you complete it correctly. Once you have selected your modules, you should ask your tutor at your Home Institution to approve your choices and sign the Learning Agreement.

English Language Evaluation

If you are a non-native speaker of English, then as part of your application you must either complete and return our English Language Evaluation or include a letter from your English tutor confirming that you have attained the appropriate level of English language to attend lectures and write assignments in English.
