Our course is designed in two parts. Part one is the Certificate in Leadership and Management: the first year is devoted to three modules based around a theme of general management, and one module with a specific human resource management focus.Our course is designed to produce HR professionals who are knowledgeable and competent managers in their own rights, as well as having their own specialist knowledge and skills in the area of the management and development of people.
Part two is the Diploma in Human Resource Management(HRM): the second year focuses on four HRM modules designed to support the strategic and operational activities of HR professionals.
In order to achieve professional membership of the CIPD, you are required to complete a further module, Applied Personnel and Development, which incorporates a management research report and a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) portfolio. You will work with tutors on an individual basis to achieve this in the first semester of the third year.
The CIPD qualification is the foremost award in the field of Human Resource Management and is held by many UK and international HR directors. This qualification will equip you with the knowledge and skills to enhance your career prospects and prepare you for strategic and operational HR management.
Organisations will benefit from developing HR practitioners who understand the needs of the business and who can put forward persuasive and authoritative recommendations and plans of action, based on meaningful research. HR practitioners who:

Assessment
Assessment is by modular assignments, incorporating written submissions, oral presentations, case study analysis and examinations. The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development is the primary professional body in the UK for those involved in the management and development of people. The CIPD has validated our postgraduate certificate as being equivalent to their Leadership and Management standards. Upon successful completion of the Diploma in Human Resource Management and Applied Personnel Development (Management Research Report and CPD Portfolio), you will have occupied the requirements for the CIPD professional development scheme.Associated careers

Entry requirements
First degree from a recognised university, or an S/NVQ Level 4, or a Certificate in Personnel Practice (CPP) and the Certificate in Business Awareness and Advanced Professional Study (the CIPD?s bridging unit), or a CPP or HNC or HND or foundation degree in a business-related discipline and relevant experience in a managerial role or role with professional responsibility, or appropriate, relevant and significant experience in a senior post of management or professional responsibility.
