Getting to Grips with CPD - Recording the evidence for HPC

 

 

This one day workshop is designed to enable participants to develop and maintain a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) portfolio. It is suitable for all Allied Health Care Professionals and will focus on the requirements of the Health Professions Council (HPC).

The aim is to facilitate an understanding of the HPC requirements for CPD, encourage personal and professional development and enable the participants to apply the learning achieved in this workshop to their own CPD records.

Workshop content

  • Understand the HPC standards and requirements for CPD
  • Appreciate the concept and purpose of a CPD portfolio
  • Discuss the range of CPD activities
  • Recognise what constitutes evidence of CPD
  • Appreciate the role of reflective writing in CPD
  • Appreciate the purpose and format of a CPD profile
  • Structure their personal CPD portfolio

Outline of day

This is a practical day using a variety of teaching and learning methods and activities to meet the needs of the participants and the objectives of the workshop.
