Python Summer School

 

 


The Python Summer School course is for ICT teachers who would like to prepare to learn to program in Python, in preparation for teaching Computer Science at KS3, KS4 and KS5. The course is five days long and covers all the basic principles of programming in Python, followed by some work on databases in Python and server-side database programming.

This is a Network of Excellence/ Computing At School course run by Anglia Ruskin University. Lead trainers for the course will be Sue Sentance and Adam McNicol.

Tuesday
Working with lists, Functions with parameters

Wednesday
File handling in Python; Working with a local sqlite database

Thursday
CGi Scripting using HTML and Python; Developing a client-server system in Python

Friday
More on database and programming server-side database programming
Dates:

The course will run from Monday 22nd July to Friday 26th July 2013.

The course will take place at Anglia Ruskin University in Chelmsford
