Finance Fundamentals for Frontline Managers
Understanding key financial tools, such as balance sheets and budgets, is an essential for the new manager; even if they come to the role with solid financial experience, a new manager now needs to understand how financial tools guide decision-making, and recognise their new responsibilities regarding the use of financial information when making recommendations.
This half-day session provides an overview of fundamental financial management practice and looks at basic financial tools such as budgets, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets. Delegates learn how financial tools can be used to deliver organisational goals such as profit maximisation and cost reduction, and gain an understanding of how to use financial information to inform decision-making.
