Workshop

This short two day course gives an introduction to contraceptive and sexual healthcare. It provides basic information and orientation for any professional who is giving advice regarding contraception and sexual health to clients.

It is suitable for those who are not at present working within the field of contraception and sexual health but would like to have a better understanding of contraceptive methods and sexually transmitted infections. This workshop does not carry academic credits but an attendance certificate will be provided.

This workshop will cover:

  • Combined oral contraceptive pill
  • Progesterone only pill
  • Contraceptive implants and injections
  • Contraceptive intrauterine devices (IUDs & IUS)
  • Barrier methods
  • Emergency contraception
