Diploma in School Business Management (DSBM)

 

 

Anglia Ruskin University is the National College for Teaching and Leadership's commissioned provider for London, Eastern England and the East Midlands.

School Business Managers play a prominent role in the strategic leadership and management of schools. School Business Managers work closely with headteachers, senior leadership teams and governing bodies to manage increasingly limited resources whilst ensuring maximised learning opportunities for children and young people. Provision of relevant CPD enables effective school development in response to government policy and strategy.

The DSBM is an accredited professional qualification developed by the National College. Participants will develop knowledge, understanding and expertise across a number of operational, developmental and strategic modules. The programme uses a blended learning approach including face-to-face, online learning and self-directed study. It require completion of school-based case studies, projects and activities which support individual school development plans. Participants on this programme is supported by a team of SBM expert facilitators, tutors and assessors, with extensive experience in the education sector. The programme in School Business Management contributes towards building a dynamic partnership between the management and teaching and learning functions of the school in order to ensure improved outcomes for young people.
The DSBM is aimed at experienced School Business Managers who are members of or work closely with the school's senior leadership teams. It can be completed in 12-15 months.
