This is the first of two sessions that examine all-important issues on minimizing energy usage and costs, and viable opportunities for adapting buildings and adding renewable energy to new and existing buildings, both housing and commercial.

Both workshops examine the trade off between upfront capital costs and revenue payback, and the deliverability and relative priority of different options.

Including retrofit and passivhaus, this session examines the challenges of inefficient, sometimes poorly designed buildings and how to overcome them.
