Anglia Ruskin University

The professional bodies of the Nursing and Midwifery Council and the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain require that students who undertake the non-medical prescribing module should be competent in physical assessment and diagnosis before starting the module. Students who do not have these skills can undertake a programme to provide these skills either prior or along side the prescribing module.

The aim is to provide teaching, demonstration and theory in the classroom in order for students to practice and refine skills in practice under the support of their Medical Supervisor. Students are expected to have a named doctor who has agreed to teach and assess the student prior to commencing the module.
