This study day is primarily intended for practitioners working in areas such as coronary care units, cardiac (medical and surgical) wards and critical care areas. However it is also applicable for practitioners working in primary care who wish to gain an insight into the care of the person requiring cardiac surgery.

Areas to be covered:
  • ECG analysis of bradycardias & heart blocks
  • Care of a person with a bradycardia
  • Aims and objectives of pacing
  • Types of Pacing
  • Understanding how pacing works
  • Management of the person with a pacing system
  • Complications with pacing
