Jo Fairley, co-founder of organic chocolate pioneer Green & Black's, and Arthur Potts Dawson, from the People's Supermarket, have been announced as guest speakers at Enterprise 2 Impact, the upcoming social enterprise conference organised by 3rd Sector Futures, Anglia Ruskin University's specialist unit for charities, social enterprises and voluntary organisations.

Fairley and Dawson will join a diverse and professional line up of advisers, presenters and speakers at the event for the public, private and third sectors, which will take place on 19 October at the Imperial War Museum's Conference Centre in Duxford, Cambridgeshire. The free one-day event aims to encourage and support the growth and impact of social enterprise in the East of England region, and is delivered through a partnership of Social Enterprise East of England, Business Link East and 3rd Sector Futures, Anglia Ruskin University.

Jo Fairley said: "Socially motivated enterprise plays a fundamental part in the world of business, and it is great to be involved in a conference that showcases the wealth of support on offer - both to social entrepreneurs and other businesses. It is also an opportunity to share experiences and success stories, as well as learn more about trading between sectors, and I look forward to meeting visitors and fellow speakers alike on the day."

Andy Brady, from Anglia Ruskin said:

"We are delighted to welcome Jo as a speaker at Enterprise 2 Impact - the Green & Black's story is a clear example that it is possible to achieve real business success and still deliver valuable social outcomes, and visitors will be keen to hear more about her experience. Many of us will also know Arthur Potts Dawson from the TV coverage of the People's Supermarket.

"Working as we do with social enterprises via our learning programmes, research projects, and consultancy, we have become aware that of an increasing trend towards cross-sector collaboration and partnership. Our programme for the day will cover a host of topics, including winning contracts, risk management, profit building, bringing new ideas to market, leadership and social impact measurement. I'd encourage anyone from a social enterprise, or from other sectors wanting to know more about social enterprise, to book now at www.enterprise2impact.org"
