New Year, new start at Anglia Ruskin

Students wanting greater flexibility leads to rise in demand for courses starting in January

Anglia Ruskin University is offering a range of courses - full-time, part-time, undergraduate and postgraduate - starting this month.

The courses, which range from Law to Biomedical Science and Tourism Management to Health & Social Care, are ideal for anyone wanting to take professional qualifications or undergo a career change. January starts are proving to be particularly popular with people looking to boost their skills and employability.

Students are increasingly looking for greater flexibility, including employment and gap year options, and a second intake in the New Year gives people more freedom to fit degree study around their other commitments.

Anglia Ruskin also runs a separate initial induction programme for students starting in January to ensure they receive the same guidance and support as those beginning in September.

Pro Vice-Chancellor Sandra Hollis said:

"We would like to encourage anyone thinking about studying with us to visit our website and browse the courses on offer with start dates in January.

"We have seen a growth in January starts over the last two years as applicants recognise Anglia Ruskin's excellent employability rate. The high number of our graduates in employment or further study puts us 36th out of 132 Higher Education Institutions in England, while the average salary of our graduates is also above the national average."
