Law conversion course for aspiring solicitors and barristers
Press release issued: 9 March 2006
The Common Professional Examination (CPE) programme, a diploma course approved by the Law Society and the Bar Council, is now recruiting candidates from Essex for the academic year 2006/2007.
The programme which is offered on a full-time and part-time basis at the Anglia Law School is validated for around 30 aspiring solicitors and barristers each year.
"This is a conversion course for people who want to qualify as solicitors or barristers but who do not have a law degree. They are often recent graduates of subjects - including History, Languages and English - or people who are looking for a career change.
"We are looking for potential students for this forthcoming academic year and our advice to those interested is to contact us and find out more about this locally-delivered programme. It is ideal for people who are living and working in the Chelmsford area who want to move into the burgeoning legal profession. Whether you want to work in a law firm, in central or local government, within a company or within the Crown Prosecution Service, this course could be right for you."
