Anglia Ruskin players receive scholarships

Anglia Ruskin University has awarded sports scholarships to three judo players from Anglia Ruskin Judo Club, providing them with £1000 each for the year.

Akim Lassissi and Nicolas Antolinos, both from France and both from the Ashcroft International Business School fought last year for the club in the University Championships. They both regularly train in Dartford at the British Judo Performance Institute and they have both represented France as juniors.

Emma Jagger is new to judo but is a double Commonwealth gold medallist in gymnastics. This year she could compete for medals at national university level in gymnastics, trampolining and judo.

Nicolas and Akim will be fighting for Anglia Ruskin on November 28 in the London Area University Championships where 11 universities will be represented.
