An international student from Anglia Ruskin University's Ashcroft International Business School recently celebrated her first class Marketing (Hons) degree and new job success with her family at one of last week's graduation ceremonies held at Cambridge on 9 November.

Francesca Fezzardi's family flew into Cambridge from Italy specially for the occasion.

When she first came to the country, Francesca worked as a waitress and an assistant manager in a restaurant in Cambridge to improve her spoken English before deciding to restart her higher education studies. In 2003 she enrolled on the marketing course and graduated this year, in June.

In August, Francesca joined Medix UK plc as a marketing research executive. Medix UK specialises in market research with healthcare professionals offering their service to major pharmaceutical companies, PR and advertising agencies as well as charities. Medix-uk.com is a free internet service exclusively for UK doctors, launched with the objective of reducing the time and hassle associated with accessing quality medical information on the Internet.

Francesca is in charge of the international market, liaising with clients and partners around the world. She manages the whole process of the research from data collection and analysis, to the compilation of comprehensive reports for the clients. Her role also includes the business development and marketing communications aspects of the fast growing company.
