International equestrian star Mary King will be at the College of West Anglia for a day dedicated to raising aspirations.

The five-time Olympian will be at the college's Cambridge campus on Wednesday 21 July, to lead a day designed to encourage delegates to think big in terms of both career and personal goals.

The event also includes a demonstration from Lindsey Tyas, a member of the Great Britain para-driving team which will be going for gold in Holland later this year. Her horse is currently being trained by college yard and event manager Steph Soskin.

A series of lectures and arena demonstrations will also be on offer, ranging from equine dentistry to polo and dog agility and the whole event is free, but pre-registration is necessary.

A packed schedule will also include a presentation on responsible pet and horse ownership by the Blue Cross charity which the college is supporting. There are also more than a dozen trade stands and refreshments.

The full day, from 10am to 4pm, includes: side-saddle techniques, Le Trec, equine physiotherapy, equine therapy centre with aqua treadmill and spa, riding simulator, nutrition, hoof care, small animal handling, overcoming phobias and dog behaviour.

The event is completely free and registration is via the College of West Anglia.
