On Tuesday 29 September, eight short films by final year Film Studies students from the Department of English, Communication, Film and Media were screened at the Cambridge Arts Picturehouse before the local premiere of the new feature 'Creation' starring Paul Bettany.

The short films, a range of highly imaginative and thought-provoking live action and animation pieces, were made in response to the current Darwin exhibition at the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge, as part of a three day project devised by Anglia Ruskin University lecturer Sarah Gibson Yates on behalf of the Cambridgeshire Film Consortium. These included:
  • Darwin, by Jesse Wood
  • Man is But A Worm, by Jonathan Rodrigo
  • City Zoo, by Alex Turner and Jesse Wood
  • Letter To Darwin, by Samuele Schiavo
  • Life On Pause, by Clelia Lamilhau and Josh Armstrong
  • On The Lapse of Time, by Dan Doddington
  • Untitled, by Anthony Smith.
