Anglia Ruskin secures investment to help businesses and individuals through the recession
Press release issued: 16 April 2009
"Anglia Ruskin is honoured to have been chosen by the Higher Education Council for England (HEFCE) to provide support to our region's businesses and their employees in this challenging economic climate. We have a strong track record of working with businesses to help them grow and it is vital that we use our expertise and resources to help them survive and prosper during these difficult times."
"Our programme is designed with the needs of small and large businesses in mind and provides them with practical support including access to tailored training, skills development and expert professional advice. We also have projects which will help individuals who are affected by the recession, for example, by finding work placements for recent graduates and providing opportunities for re-training in skill shortage areas."
"Higher Education has a key role to play in stimulating economic recovery and we will work closely with other universities in the region and agencies such as EEDA and Business Link East to ensure we provide a cohesive and rapid programme of support."
