Personal Profile

After graduating from the University of Portsmouth with a BSc in Sports Science, Dr Amy Scarfe gained her MSc in Sports Biomechanics at Liverpool John Moore?s University. Following this, she undertook her PhD in the running technique of triathletes at the University of Birmingham, completing in 2011. Amy commenced her current role as a postdoctoral research fellow in the Vision and Eye Research Unit (VERU) in September 2011.

Research Interests

Dr Amy Scarfes' research interests are in the area of human movement and the cause and consequence of adaptations that occur within this. Amy's current research focuses on the effect of glaucoma on movement patterns associated with everyday precision tasks.
