MA Printmaking student Mary Humphrey displayed work from her 'Roma:Transilvania' series, produced as part of her BA (Hons) degree, after making the shortlist of this prestigious competition run by Aesthetica magazine.
The Aesthetica Art Prize is a showcase for emerging and contemporary artists internationally, designed to take their work to a wider audience. Mary made the shortlist of 8 from over 3000 submissions, judged by a panel of influential art figures and curators including: Cherie Federico (Editor, Aesthetica Magazine); Laura Turner (Curator, York Art Gallery); Frances Guy, (Head of Collection and Exhibitions, The Hepworth, Wakefield); Kate MccGwire (internationally renowned British Sculptor) and Neeta Madahar (acclaimed British photographer represented by the Purdy Hicks Gallery, London).
