This exhibition will showcase work created during a recent collaboration between the Cambridge School of Art and businesses from the Mill Road area of Cambridge. This 6 week drawing project saw students from the 1st Year BA Illustration and BA Illustration and Animation degree courses focusing on a single business each, in order to get to know the people involved with them and record the space and place in their sketchbooks.
Mill Road is an area with a strong sense of community in which the local, independent businesses play a key role and for many of them it was this idea of community which led to them agreeing to work with the students. We would like to thank them all for their generous support, which was invaluable to the success of this project.
