Fine Art Interim Show
Date: 12-15 January 2010
Time: Monday to Friday, 10.00-17.00
Private View: Thursday 14 January, 17.00-19.00
Since its beginning in 2006, the 3rd Year Fine Art Interim Show at Ruskin Gallery has now become something of a tradition. It marks an important point for Fine Art students, being both the culmination of their studio work for the first semester of their final year, and something of practice run for the degree show itself. The show provides an important opportunity for students to experiment with installing art and mounting a full-scale exhibition, and presents the diverse and varied nature of Fine Art at Anglia Ruskin. The work shown reflects the aim of the course to develop individual creativity in contemporary approaches to Fine Art to the highest standard.

The work on display includes painting, drawing, and sculpture, as well as works in new media, such as photography, video, film and digital media. For the 3rd year students, who have worked in studios surrounding the Ruskin Gallery over 3 years, having the chance to install works in situ is a rewarding and beneficial experience, and provides an excellent focus at the midway point of their final year of study.
