We aim to become a world-leading centre in medical innovation, driving economic growth in the MedTech sector and gaining health system-wide adoption of the latest advances in technology and patient care.

The Need

The UK has a long and distinguished history of invention and innovation. The NHS is the largest and longest established healthcare system in the world. In partnership with the UK's university base it has been at the forefront of many advances in medical science in its 64 year history. However translating these discoveries and innovations into globally successful products and services has too often been achieved abroad, as demonstrated by the UK being in trade deficit in this sector again last year.

Medical innovation requires cooperation between clinicians, academics, government, industry and patients/carers. It also needs translational infrastructure to make innovation happen at pace and scale.

Our Innovation Offering

We want to help you make your idea happen. We do this by:

1) Assessment of the feasibility and potential of your idea.

2) Advice on project management, forming a business case and legalities.

3) Access to funding sources and contacts within universities and industry.

Our assessment and advice is on a confidential basis and we use non disclosure agreements where appropriate. There is no charge for our service. Once assessed, if we think your idea has merit we will discuss with you how we would turn your idea into a product/service that is used across the global healthcare system. Fundamental to that offering is the continued involvement of the inventor as the innovation is developed. We believe our innovation offering is unrivalled but you will remain free to use the information from our assessment however you want.
