In complex systems like the NHS, the need to influence others is a daily reality.

Working in groups and teams, working with colleagues and managers, changing services, or supervising trainees - all need influencing skills. This interactive workshop examines the different sorts of influence and how to exercise them with integrity.

Workshop objectives:

  • Explore four levels of influence; strategic, tactical, interpersonal, and intrapersonal
  • Understand peoples' work preferences and how to influence each one most effectively
  • Examine mind-body states in positively influencing oneself
  • Learn and practice congruence coaching and influencing
  • The influencing power of role-modelling
  • Consider social motivators and how they can be addressed
  • How to best influence groups of people without manipulation
