Life at Anglia Ruskin University

University is a life changing experience but most definitely worth all the hard work and effort.

For most students, starting University is an exciting time involving lots of new and challenging experiences. However some people will find this daunting, particularly during the early weeks.

The practicalities of living away from home, or even a new country for the first time can be overwhelming. However, there is nothing our students can't cope with when they realise all the help and support that's on offer.
Our Student Services team can help with all sorts of things which may be new to them, including:
  • Managing a budget
  • How to shop to make the most of their money
  • Tips on healthy eating and cooking
  • Getting the right balance between study and social life
  • Making friends and getting to grips with their new home
It's perfectly natural for any new student to take some time to adapt. You can help by reminding them they're not on their own. Almost every other new student will be in exactly the same situation. After the Freshers induction period most people are already adapting to life at Anglia and embracing their new found independence.

University is much more than a qualification

Being at University isn't just about reaching the end goal of a qualification. It's an enriching experience that enables each student to develop academically, personally and professionally. At Anglia Ruskin we help this happen with our network of services. Supporting students in their development and helping them get the most out of their time at University.

Students are encouraged to see our advisers, all of whom have a great deal of experience within their area of expertise.

We make sure all new students are aware of the help at hand when they first arrive.
