The Extended Project Qualification

Update for IAG staff

We value the skills of research and independent learning that the Extended Project Qualification is designed to develop and we welcome applications from students offering the Extended Project alongside A levels or equivalent. In such cases we may make two alternative offers, one of which involves achieving grade A in the Extended Project. For example either 340 UCAS tariff points from A levels or equivalent, or 320 UCAS tariff points from A level or equivalent with grade A in the Extended Project.

We will also consider grade A or B in EPQ at confirmation if your students have just missed achieving the A level (or equivalent) points requirement of their conditional offer.

We are looking into ways of supporting students studying the EPQ, including potentially giving them access to our extensive library resources, there will be more news on this soon.

Information about UK undergraduate entry requirements is available on our entry qualifications page.

How can we help you?

The Outreach & Recruitment Team at Anglia Ruskin University is here to help your students access information, advice and guidance (IAG) about Higher Education (HE). We're very proud that in the 2011-12 academic year, we ran almost 100 HE information events on campus which were attended by a total of over 10,000 people. In the summer term, our very popular Anglia Ruskin Roadshow Bus visited schools, colleges and community locations and made contact with over 2,600 people, to give advice about Higher Education.

All of the events we offer to schools and colleges are free and are focused on helping you to work towards achieving the 2011 Education Act's statutory guidance on IAG. We are committed to providing high-quality events and activities designed to get your students thinking positively about their future. With staff backgrounds in youth-work, teaching and careers advice, our team is well-equipped to help your young people make informed choices.

We're always happy to tailor our activities to suit your students' needs and although we have a core menu of activities, which you will find on this site, we are also keen to hear imaginative ideas from school staff about the kinds of activity which would suit your students' requirements best.

A member of the team will be pleased to meet with you to discuss the events and activities your students will be able to access from the menu on the following pages. Please
contact us to be put in touch with your school's dedicated Outreach & Recruitment Officer.
