Angie has come from Australia to the small archives office of a north London hospital to find out the truth of who her mother was. There she meets Mel, a young archivist with little time for family history researchers. As the painful truth about Angie's birth emerges, however, Mel finds herself increasingly drawn into
the story until she uncovers the most terrible secret of all and realises she must
decide what to do about it.
