His Dark Materials: Part Two

A two play dramatisation of Philip Pullman's best-selling trilogy of novels Northern Lights, The Subtle Knife and The Amber Spyglass. Four student casts will collaborate on this epic story, set in parallel worlds, populated by daemons and witches, armoured bears and rebellious angels.

Awards for the novels include the Whitbread Book of the Year and the Carnegie Medal for children's literature. They have been adapted on film and radio and in 2003 Nicholas Wright's adaptation was first presented at the National Theatre.

This production is assessed work by Anglia Ruskin University's 2nd year Drama and Performing Arts students.
