Parlon
Freedom
by Rick Limentani
Wednesday 9th May, 7.30pm
When Tajik opium farmer Benham tells a daring lie to protect his farmlands from violent drug lords, he is also forced to invent a wild scheme, sending his son, Fariad, to England to find the evidence that will prove his untruth.
Once there, Fariad develops a relationship with an emotionally damaged girl, Jennifer, which interferes with Benham's carefully laid plans. The three characters rapidly find themselves spiralling into a series of situations where they are forced to choose between their own and each other's freedom in this powerful story of seduction, betrayal and avarice.
Tickets: £11.50 (£8.50 concessions)
There will be a pre-show talk with director, Rick Limentani, at 6.45pm - 7.00pm in the Mumford Theatre.
