The Combined Photoplethysmography and Doppler System
The Huntleigh Rheo Dopplex II PPG and Doppler system combines Digital Photoplethysmography (PPG) with a bi-directional Doppler in one hand-held unit. We use it to assess the venous function of the popliteal vein following treatment of venous insufficiencies. The PPT Doppler system can also be used to screen the absence of deep vein thrombosis in the lower limbs, differentiate between deep and superficial venous insufficiency, assess arterial and venous flow and ankle pressure index.
