The overarching aim of my study is to find the relationship between lower limb malalignment and peak tibio-femoral joint stress. This is conducted by developing and verifying a 3D finite element (FE) model of a knee joint that integrates pre-operative subject-specific imaging and computational biomechanics to predict tibio-femoral joint stress magnitude and location for different titrations of malalignment correction before and after simulated corrective surgery.
