European Judo Union Coaching Awards
The European Judo Union (EJU) provide high quality coaching awards at levels three - six. Level 4 yields a foundation degree in Sports Coaching, Level 5 a BSc (hons) in Sports Coaching and Level 6 an MSc in Italy.The European Judo Union High Performance Coach Awards Level 4 and 5 are delivered at Anglia Ruskin University through nine blocks of two weeks over a five year period. Students on the level 4 and 5 courses are registered at Anglia Ruskin University and have the same benefits as full time students including access to the library, the digital library, the students union, and student support services.
The course utilises staff from Anglia Ruskin's unit for Sport and Exercise Sciences who cover areas such as physiology, biomechanics, psychology and coaching pedagogy. These experts are supported by judo specific lecturers, in previous years this has included Professor Emanuela Pierantozzi (double World Champion and double Olympic medallist), Kenzo Nakamura (World and Olympic Champion), Peter Seisenbacher (double Olympic Champion and World Champion), Kate Howey (double Olympic medallist and World Champion) and Kosei Inoue (Olympic Champion and three times World Champion).
