Leonardus Heijenrath Honorary Fellow, 1992
Bio | Citation

Leonardus Heijenrath was Director of the Hogeschool voor Economisch en Administratief Onderwijs in Limburg in the Netherlands, at a time when Anglia Business School was building its network of affiliations within the wider European environment. He was instrumental in drawing up the Agreement of Co-operation that came to exist between the two institutions. As a direct result of the agreement, Anglia staff and students were able to participate in exchanges with the Netherlands and to establish joint research initiatives. The agreement also paved the way for the establishment of joint courses, with periods for students in each institution, leading to the attainment of dual qualifications.

In 1992 Leonardus Heijenrath was made Honorary Fellow of the University.

"Lei Heijnerath is the Director of the Hogeschool voor Economisch en Administratief Onderwijs in Limburg, the Netherlands.

Since June 1988 HEAO (as it is abbreviated) and Anglia have had an Agreement of Co-operation in relation to: Student and staff exchanges; Establishing joint research initiatives; Strengthening the awareness of the EC in commerce and industry; Running joint courses, with periods for students in each institution, leading to the attainment of dual qualifications

It is Lei and his staff's enthusiasm for this venture, which has enabled it to progress and blossom into a truly joint initiative.

In recognition of the close partnership, which has developed between Anglia Business School and HEAO Sittard and the leadership and commitment given to this co-operation by its Director, Lei Heijenrath becomes a University Fellow."
