Vision

We believe that education for sustainable development is a key purpose of higher education institutions.

We aim at developing a model for education for sustainable development involving organisations, students and universities, within which the participants will gain practical experience for their professional and personal lives in a creative, passionate and critical way.

Dr Beatriz Acevedo

Dr Beatriz Acevado


Dr Beatriz Acevedo works as a senior lecturer in sustainable management at the Lord Ashcroft International Business School, Anglia Ruskin University (Cambridge, UK). She combines her academic work with her artistic practice as a painter. She has considerable experience in research and academic consultancy on processes of social and sustainable development in Latin America. Dr Acevedo's research concerns processes of organisational change; she is currently working on the intersections between aesthetics, visuality and sustainability in the context of higher education and business studies.

Dr Alison Stowell

Dr Alison Stowell


Dr Alison Stowell is a Senior Lecturer in International Business and Management at the Lord Ashcroft International Business School, Anglia Ruskin University (Cambridge, UK). Alison has a practitioner background prior to joining academia. She has both public and private sector experience working at the Crown Prosecution Service before joining IBM. Alison's principal research interest lies in the impact of discarded technology and how organisational management are responding to these challenges. Her other research interests are sustainability and management responses, governance of environmental issues, organisational and institutional change and action research methods.

Dr Helen Benton

Dr Helen Benton


Dr Helen Benton primary research interest is in Supply Chain Management, focusing on sustainable supply chain design; supply chain planning and control systems and supply chain learning. Her main research project focuses on a new approach to selecting the planning and control systems to support a supply chain. She is also the director of the MSc in Sustainable Logistics. Helen is also the director for Teaching and Learning at the Lord Ashcroft International Business School and she has been innovating in the way she teaches sustainable logistics and operational management. For this project, Helen will be the Operations Director, dealing with the organisations and analysing the processes and practices on environmental issues.

Romas Malevicius
PhD Researcher (Anglia Ruskin University)
Romas Malevicius


Romas Malevicius has a Masters degree in Thermal Engineering (Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, Lithuania) and a Bachelor's degree in International Business Strategy (Anglia Ruskin University, UK). Currently, he works as an associated lecturer at Lord Ashcroft International Business School and as a PhD researcher in pedagogy for sustainability and experiential learning in higher education. Romas is a graphic designer, accomplished photographer and enthusiastic filmmaker.

Dr Ann Rippin
Artistic Director for Education (University of Bristol)
Ann Rippin


Ann Rippin is a senior lecturer in the Department of Management at the University of Bristol. Her background is in Financial Services, consultancy and management development. Her research interests include art as a method of management research, history, gender and organisation, and aesthetics. She has a very distinctive research practice using textiles as a method, and has written extensively and exhibited widely in this field.

Charlotte Taylor
Coordinator of the Green Impact (NUS)

As Community Project Officer for Green Impact, Charlotte's role is to develop the Green Impact programme for new sectors, beyond Students' Unions and Universities and Colleges. As well as working with GoGreen12 Charlotte is developing Green Impact for organisations such as the police, fire service, Endsleigh Insurance, sports centres and is looking to expand the programme internationally. Charlotte has a BA in music from the University of Leeds and spends her free time playing violin, singing and fitting in as many fun outdoorsy activities as she possibly can!
