Together, making a difference

Every donation you make allows us to not only impact positively on the lives of current and future students at Anglia Ruskin, but also on those in our wider community where our research has made a difference to their everyday lives.

With dramatically reduced Government financial support for the UK Higher Education sector, universities must now seek to secure alternative sources of funding, so fundraising has now become a critical part of university life.

We believe that by engaging with our alumni, friends and organisations to source funds and resources to do more, we can continue to make a difference together.

"We are, after all, only trustees of the wealth we possess. Without the community and its resources there would be little wealth for anyone"

John Ruskin

Here are some examples of how support from our alumni and friends can help us make a difference. You can also find out more about the priority projects that you can support.

  • You can help someone to reach their potential
We want to invest in more scholarships to ensure that, regardless of background or circumstance, talented individuals who wish to study with us will have the opportunity to do so.
  • Support academics that are making a difference
We want to ensure we continue to attract and recruit academics, lecturers and researchers who can help us to make a difference by providing excellence in teaching and research.
  • Ensure we continue to make a regional impact
New buildings such as our Postgraduate Medical Institute (PMI) provide state-of-the-art learning environments for research and collaboration across our region.
  • Provide our students with learning resources which exceed their expectations
At the heart of any institution is its library, and we want to ensure our students have access to the very best resources.
  • You can make a difference to the most vulnerable in the community
You can help us train practitioners who can then deliver therapy to people with a wide range of conditions such as autism, dementia, and learning difficulties, conditions which affect people in all sectors of society.
Anglia Ruskin University was officially acknowledged by CASE at the 2011 Matched Funding Awards for the success of our fundraising and development team. We wish to thank all of our donors and supporters who continue to contribute to the success of our thriving university.
