Checklist: Your first few days

Register online by visiting 1. At the e:Vision login page, at the User-name prompt, type in your User-name as specified in your Welcome letter or email 2. At the Password prompt enter in your date of birth in the format DDMMYY (for example if your date of birth is 12th April 1980 then you will enter it as 120480 ) |
It is vital you register in order to get your timetable and activate your accounts. | |
| Access your Anglia Ruskin email account. Follow the link on your My.Anglia homepage to view your mailbox. | This is how we will communicate important information to you, so check it at least twice a week. | |
| Visit your Faculty Office and collect your module handbook. | Or, if you have arrived late, to collect any information you may have missed | |
| Collect your Student ID card and Welcome Pack. | We will tell you where to collect these when you arrive. | |
| Access your timetable on e:Vision (https://e-vision.anglia.ac.uk). |

Take an English Language Evaluation if you are an international student. Check http://www.anglia.ac.uk/welcome for details of the International Orientation programme. |
You must do this if you are an international student as this will help decide if you need extra English lessons. | |
| Log on to e:Vision (https://e-vision.anglia.ac.uk) and complete the 'Attendance Task' to receive your Student Maintenance Loan. |
Student Finance will not release any money to you until this has been done. It takes 3-5 working days for any money to arrive in your bank account. | |
| Open a bank account if you don't already have one. | International students | |
| Insure your personal possessions. | If you have a bike, don't forget to insure that too. | |
| Register with a local Doctor or with the on campus Medical Centre. | Don't wait until you need one, better to do this whilst you are feeling well. | |
| Find your nearest supermarket. | You have to eat! | |
| Log on to My.Anglia (https://my.anglia.ac.uk) for University information. | My.Anglia holds lots of information on your University's Faculties and Support Services - check it out ASAP. | |
| Check your personal details including your term time address are correct on e:Vision (https://e-vision.anglia.ac.uk), if not then change immediately. |
This needs to be done as soon as possible in case we need to contact you in an emergency. | |
| Meet other students. | Try to attend at least some of the social events organised for you. |
