Date: Wednesday 10 March 2010
Time: 14.00

In 1968 the critical theorist Theodor Adorno's lecture series at Frankfurt University was disrupted by an attack from radical students. This talk will look at why this event happened, giving a broad outline of the work of Adorno, his position, and in particular asking crucial questions about the relevance of his work today.
David Ryan is reader in Fine Art and has recently shown a collaborative film project (with Andrew Chesher) 'Knots and Fields: a History of Darmstadt New Music Courses' at Kettle's Yard in conjunction with the exhibition Modern Times.
