Danny Rolph is a painter based in London. He is Visiting Professor at Bucks New University and is a previous recipient of the Rome Abbey Scholarship. He has had numerous exhibitions in the UK and abroad including Germany, Italy and the USA and highly regarded as a significant artist working today. His work was seen in Benet Spencer's curated exhibition 'Reconstructing the Old House' at the Nunnery Gallery, London and Ruskin Gallery, Cambridge, in 2009.
Rolph constructs artworks using twinwall plastic sheeting, which is used as an integral element of a process that utilizes both painting and collage. His works are a continuation of Rolph's investigation into his discourse with space, taking on a direct relationship with painting's topology. He is represented by Poppy Sabire, London and Barbara Davis Gallery, Houston.
