Professor of English Literature secures CoDE funding for digitisation projects
Eugene Giddens, Professor of English Literature with the Department of English, Communication, Film and Media (pictured), is embarking on two new research projects with the help of funds from the Cultures of the Digial Economy Research Institute (CoDE).
The first of these will create a digitised archive of over over 10,000 children's book illustrations from the nineteenth century, providing a valuable resource for children, parents, teachers and other researchers. The second project will look into the possible digitisation of Registers from the Worshipful Company of Stationers, increasing accessibility for some of the most important evidence of the history of printing and publishing in England.
You can read more about these projects on our Digital Humanities research page.
