Canadian media artists visit CoDE

A delegation of Canadian media artists visited the Cultures of the Digital Economy research institute (CoDE) in October 2010. Julie DuPont, from the Public Art Program of Ottawa, and digital artists Adrian Göllner, James Acres, Eric Chan and Nicola Feldman-Kiss were travelling with a Canadian trade mission that was visiting Professor Terry Mughan of the Centre for Innovation in International Business at Ashcroft International Business School.

Dr Sam Rayner (Assistant Director of CoDE), Caroline Hyde (Business Development Manager for Cultural and Creative Industries), three CoDE Research Fellows (Leah Tether, Seb Franklin and Frauke Behrendt), Reader in Fine Art David Ryan and Reader in Creative Music Technology Julio D'Escrivan welcomed the artists, taking turns to show the delegation around the Cambridge Campus, including a tour of the Digital Performance Laboratory and the Ruskin (Digital) Gallery. We had many interesting discussions around digital culture, public art and look forward to future collaborations between CoDE and these Canadian media artists and scholars.
