Designing User Experience in the Connected Device Ecosystem
Date: 11 October 2011
Venue: Kaetsu Centre, Murray Edwards College, CB3 0DF
Device technology continues to evolve as part of increasingly complex, interconnected ecosystems. User Experience Design needs to shift from a single device focus to encompass the myriad user contexts, inputs and outputs these ecosystems entail. This half-day event focused on the creation of products to exist alongside consumer's pre-existing ecosystems and looked at the shape of future ecosystems. All this was co-ordinated with representatives from major organisations specialising in device, platforms and content delivery.
Speakers included Natasa Milic-Frayling of Microsoft Research Cambridge, Giuliano Maciocci of Qualcomm and a presentation was heard from CoDE.
