The BIG Pitch
The Big Pitch is the UK's first student enterprise competition to use video pitching and interactive online voting. The competition is open exclusively to Anglia Ruskin University students and has a £30,000 prize fund every year. It has been running since 2011.
The Big Pitch's aim is simple: to find passionate entrepreneurs with exciting, imaginative business ideas and give them the chance to pitch for the money and support they need to make it happen.
Contestants and winners get firsthand training, mentoring and advice on how to start and manage their business. In addition to the winners, we have contestants who due to the experience and know-how gained during the competition still started their own businesses (www.stustu.com, www.zapawa.com) and managed to attract angel investment of £60,000 (www.universitycompare.com).
