Helping to hang Quentin Blake's 'Swimmers'
A group of graduating students from the MA Children's Book Illustration course at Anglia Ruskin spent the day hanging the new exhibition of Quentin Blake's 'Swimmers' at Clare Hall Gallery, Cambridge.
Quentin has worked on several sequences of pictures for museums, hospitals, and other public sites in recent years, including the informal Panorama for the University of Cambridge's 800th Anniversary celebrations, now on display in Addenbrookes Hospital. 2011 saw the inauguration of his paintings for the new maternity wing of the university hospital in Angers, France.
The 'Swimmers' exhibition comprises originals, digital prints, and a wall hanging produced especially for this occasion. It will be open from Friday 9 March to Monday 30 April 2012.
