Conference fees and other accomodation
For colleagues arranging their own accommodation (i.e. not the Conference Hotel) the fee is £210 for CARN members, £230 for non CARN members. This EXCLUDES accommodation but INCUDES registration and all conference meals and refreshments. If you are arranging your own accommodation please book this well in advance as Cambridge is a popular tourist destination.
The above costs include lunches on Friday-Sunday as well as the conference meal on Saturday night. Refreshments are available at breaks throughout the conference process. Please sign up if you do want lunch on the Sunday (see registration form) so we can plan accordingly.
Bursaries
This year the CARN Conference will have up to 8 bursaries available. Bursaries will cover the cost of the conference registration and accommodation at the early bird rate.
EARJ are funding 2 places for people wishing to attend the conference who are either Students OR those on a low-wage.
Applicants must submit an abstract for the Conference and be prepared to either:
(i) Write up their presentation for EARJ OR
(ii) Do a book review for EARJ
CARN will fund up to 6 places for people who wish to attend the conference who are unable to get institutional support. Applicants must either submit an abstract OR be new to AR.
People applying for bursaries need to provide a 300 word rationale for the bursary based on either the EARJ or CARN criteria. Successful applicants will be required to write up a 500 word report on their impressions/learning of the conference and how it might impact on their practice .
