Dr Sean Campbell presents two papers on Irish Music
RUITS contributor and Senior lecturer in Communication, Film and Media, Dr Sean Campbell, recently presented two papers on Irish music at two separate conferences.
The first, 'Dwellers on the Threshold': Making a London-Irish "Home" with The Pogues', was part of the 'Irish in Britain' Seminar Series at the London Metropolitan University, which ran from 10 May - 7June 2010.
The second, 'Here is a Protest': Anti-Racism and Irish Ethnicity in Dexys Midnight Runners' 'Dance Stance', was presented at the International Association for the Study of Popular Music conference, University of Cardiff, on 3 September 2010.
