Learners on the WISE programme

Learning

In 2011 3rd Sector Futures launched an exciting new course, ideal for managers in charities, voluntary organisations and social enterprises. We have also attracted local authority officers who are looking at social enterprise as a new way of delivering public services.

The Certificate in Higher Education: Charity & Social Enterprise Management provides an accredited route for third sector managers to acquire management skills. It consists of 6 modules:
  • Managing in the third sector
  • Marketing
  • HR Management
  • Finance
  • Social enterprise
  • Proving your impact
All of the work done on the programme will contribute to organisational success as well as personal development, and delivery will be via a blend of block sessions, online content and self-study.

What delegates of our 3rd Sector Future Workshops have said:

'I have been inspired beyond what I thought would be possible, and it's had a real impact on my social enterprise.' Val Beresford, Worwise, Suffolk.

'Encompassed all facets of running a social enterprise: huge benefit to me and my business.' Anthony Davison, Big Barn.
