Following a very successful conference held on Friday 6 May 2011, we are excited to announce the Second Faculty of Science and Technology Annual Research and Scholarship Conference, to be held at the Postgraduate Medical Institute, Anglia Ruskin University, Chelmsford campus on 23 May 2012. Last year's event was held at the AirSpace Conference Centre, at the Imperial War Museum, Duxford and was attended by 120 delegates. The papers and posters presented by our faculty's staff and students reflect the diversity and depth of the Research, Knowledge Transfer and Scholarship that is currently being undertaken and developed within our Faculty of Science and Technology.

This year's conference will explore the following areas:

• Sustainable Health, Wellbeing & Lifestyle
• Sustainable Science & Technology
• Sustainable Scholarship

There is provision for presenting papers and posters, engaging with writing a grant proposal, exploring research ethics and identifying exciting opportunities for cross-faculty research opportunities. All colleagues in our faculty are invited to attend. We are particularly keen to encourage contributions from early career researchers/scholars.
