Project title:
The Optical, neural and perceptual basis of blur sensitivity and interpretation differences in myopes and emmetropes.

Profile:
Heather is a qualified optometrist and currently in her first year as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Anglia Ruskin University completing a PhD, as well as being involved in undergraduate teaching. She has previously held the post as the Head of the Contact Lens Department at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire with specialist interests in scleral contact lens, cosmetic and paediatric contact lens fitting. During this time she gained her fellowship of the BCLA. Prior to this Heather worked at Moorfields Eye Hospital where she completed a two year optometry resident post with involvement in extended role and research presenting posters at the BCLA and ECLSO meetings. She completed her pre registration post at Birmingham Eye Hospital and her undergraduate degree at UMIST with first class honours.

Presentations:
Heather has presented a poster as a second author with Dr Sheila Rae at the Berkley Conference on Translational Research 2009.
