Personal Profile

Senay obtained her ophthalmic dispensing degree in Berlin, Germany in 1997. After practising for several years as an ophthalmic dispenser in Germany she graduated with a diploma in optometry at the University of Applied Sciences in Berlin, Germany with a first-class honours degree in 2008. Senay then undertook her PhD in the Department of Life Sciences at Glasgow Caledonian University in Glasgow, UK in 2012. Senay's teaching interests include ophthalmic dispensing, visual optics, geometrical optics, optometric refraction and theoretical and practical ophthalmic lenses.

Research Interests

Senay's research interests are ageing and visual perception using methods of psychophysics, visual evoked potent potentials and eye-movement recordings.
