Audiology
Research is underway to produce a new dictionary of Audiology underpinned by the latest scholarship on the early history of the subject. The main area of research is that of History of Science (Audiology) in particular, the study of the Greek medical tradition up until the Alexandrian period (200BC) and the Roman tradition up until the 3rd century AD. These traditions throw light on the development of the terminology, both Greek and Latin, which is used in the subject up to this day, and form the basis for the main projected research output which is to be a complete dictionary of Audiology terminology for use by teachers, students, researchers and practitioners.
